Production Supervisor
Rydel Roofing is a Canadian roofing company headquartered in the National Capital Region. We are a growing company providing high-quality services to our residential and commercial clients in Halifax, Etobicoke, Kingston, London, Montreal, Oakville and Ottawa.
Reporting directly to the owner(s), the Production Supervisor is responsible for creating a culture of engagement within the company's production department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our crews and subcontractors work collaboratively and in alignment with Managements' goals, objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPI), safety requirements and current Human Resources (HR) guidelines. The Production Supervisor is responsible for all activities on job sites and acts as the primary point of contact for employees and customers in off-hours and on weekends in the absence of management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Responsible for shift performance, reporting and communicating with subcontractors and Rydel employees
- Must possess very strong attention to details, record production data (contacts, notes, pictures etc.) in company software
- Experienced in Supervision and Leadership and an expert in performance management.
- Coaching and mentoring installers/technicians by influencing their behaviour to execute and meet assigned responsibilities that directly improve individual, team and company performance.
- Manage the performance of the production department to achieve daily and weekly targets
- Meets with clients to address concerns/wrap up projects
- Leads AM project meeting dispatch and follow up.
- Continuously evaluates workplace for Safety & Environmental concerns and ensures behavioural safety initiatives are performed to goal levels.
- Through coordination with other departments, leads the production of asphalt & metal roofs
- Ensure all products on all projects are installed to specification and meet identified quality standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the roofing industry
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities to work effectively on residential and commercial projects.
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $52,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
Additional pay:
- Bonus pay
- Commission pay
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Halifax, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- project management: 1 year (preferred)
- Roofing: 1 year (preferred)
