Agilus is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician - Commercial Buildings in the Property Management Field in Hamilton, Ontario. Maintenance Technician – Commercial Buildings Agilus Work Solutions has partnered with one of their clients (a leader in Property Management) in their search for a Maintenance Technician to be based out of Hamilton, Ontario. This is a permanent opportunity. The purpose of this position is to provide general maintenance at each building and to ensure that all common and vacant areas of the buildings are kept in good working shape and order and to assist the Shift Supervisor in various small jobs. The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Property Manager. Responsibilities:
- Ensure all maintenance related matters are running smoothly for all buildings within the Hamilton portfolio.
- Respond to various service requests submitted by tenants.
- Undertake building maintenance duties such as minor plumbing, light fixture repair, maintenance requests.
- Maintain building records/logs and inventory.
- Basic day-to-day maintenance requests.
- Snow removal, salting and pressure washing.
- Removal of refuse, as required
- Respond to request from the Property Management Office and other duties as assigned.
- 4+ years industry related experience required (commercial or retail buildings)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- An organized self-starter with inquisitive mind
- Attention to detail, well organized and apt in problem solving
- Computer skills and knowledge of electronic work order system in Yardi Voyageur an asset
- Ability to understand leases
- Experience with hardware tools, drywall repairs, doors, doorknobs, locks, broken tiles, basic understanding of electrical and plumbing
