Exterior Washbay Attendant
Location: Fort McMurray, AB
Diversified Transportation is currently looking for an experienced Exterior Washbay Attendant to join our team. This is a full-time position working 7 days on / 7 days off, 12 hours per day. Reporting to the Shop Manager, the selected candidate is directly responsible for the exterior cleaning motor coaches and/or yellow buses in a team setting.
Responsibilities
- Pressure wash the exterior of the coach or yellow bus including the luggage compartment, rims, tires, wheels, etc., as well as empty the waste tank
- May be required to check tires and rims for issues, check fluid levels
- May be required to drive the coach or yellow bus from the bus barn or parking lot to the wash bay and return it to its proper parking space
- Be aware of Health & Safety issues and ensure all staff is able to work in a safe manner, reporting issues as necessary
- Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures
Qualifications
- Previous Washbay Attendant, janitorial or labourer experience is preferred
- Previous experience with motorcoach (Prevosts, MCI models) or yellow bus (Thomas, International CE and 3300+ models) is preferred
- Must have a full and clean Class 5 NON -GDL license or higher
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs and spend the majority of your shift standing, bending and reaching while washing the units
- Ability to work day and night shift (up to 12 hours per shift), in potentially extreme hot and cold weather, in a dusty and noisy environment
- Must be able to successfully pass a literacy & essential skills test as well as a basic shop orientation test
- Satisfactory pre-employment fit-for-duty, criminal record check, and clear drug and alcohol results
- Experience with an electronic inventory system such as Web Fleet Assist (or similar Work Order tracking software) and MS Office
- The successful candidate will be working in a shop environment and will be required to wear steel-toed work boots and be able to stand for extended periods
