The Assistant Controller will supervise the accounting staff while reporting to the Controller. In this Assistant Controller role, you will utilize your problem solving skills by taking initiative to identity and resolve problems. Don't wait - apply today! Your responsibilities
- Put together diversified policies, procedures, and technical accounting analyses
- Deliver regular account reconciliation to completion
- Promote to ensure a competent, trained staff through regular assessment, development, and goal setting
- Test and produce Ad Hoc financial reports
- Innovative preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
- Help with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
- Backfill for Controller as provided
- Promote accountability and the meeting of deliverables
- Other duties as requested
- Distinguish and evolve process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
- Steer the accounting team during the closing process to warrant deadlines are met
- Generate relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, actual spend against budgets/outlook, and key financial metrics
- Uphold implementation and warrant adherence to accounting policies and procedures- Significant experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
- Full Cycle Accounting experience
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning
- 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience
- Certified Public Accounting license or exams in progress
- Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Deep technical background in public accounting (GAAP)
- Noteworthy accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
- Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills
