Our client is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst(Mutual Fund Experience) for their Toronto, ON location. This is a full time permanent position.
Job Responsibilities and Required Experience:
Primary Responsibilities:
- The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for providing business systems solutions to our external and internal clients through the enhancement of iFast products and functionality.
- Senior Business Systems Analysts are lead participants in the project from inception to production and are required to liaise between our client and internal development teams to ensure detailed requirements are understood and documented, and to facilitate the building or modifying of our applications to meet client and industry needs.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years' experience in business systems analysis
- Agile SDLC experience
- Experience working on a scrum team as a BA, and/or product owner.
- Familiar with eliciting requirements and creating user stories, supporting scrum teams through a delivery
- A Senior BSA is expected to have experience in projects that are large and complex
- Knowledge of and ideally experience in the mutual fund industry.
- Ideally the candidate has worked with/in fund administration, transfer agency or fund operations business, and/or has CSC certification.
- University degree, or equivalent experience
Technical skills required:
- Web applications project experience
- Strong experience in Agile and Waterfall SDLC
- Have a strong understanding of Software Development Techniques, data modelling, User Interface and API development
- Expert experience with JIRA and/or Confluence software
Nice to Have:
- CBAP certification
- Knowledge particularly in the Mutual Fund/Segregated Fund/Transfer Agency/Trust Accounting/Fundserv domains/ hedge funds, European funds industry
- High degree of knowledge of Canadian tax, legislative and regulatory requirements
- Understanding of the regulatory bodies governing client product offerings and industry best practices. For example: CLHIA, National Instrument, Federal/Provincial, Fundserv, IACC and IFIC
- Financial Industry related certifications (e.g. CLHIA, IFIC, CSC, CFA)
- iFast knowledge
- Process flows development using notations like UML and BPMN
