Our Client, a well-respected Environmental Consulting firm is looking for a bright and motivated individual to join the Geotechnical team.Agilus is recruiting for a Geotechnical Project Manager in the Environmental Field in Hamilton, Ontario. The Geotechnical Engineering Group is new to this well known and well respected environmental consultant and provides clients with the highest quality of diversified geotechnical engineering services. As a result, career advancement is based on your success at the company but is unlimited. A typical day:
- Perform Geotechnical engineering evaluations (e.g. Soil and bedrock engineering design, slope stability analysis, earth retention systems, excavation, dewatering and shoring.)
- Schedule assessments and meetings with clients/contractors
- Assign work to field staff as appropriate depending on workloads and in conjunction with the Operations Manager
- Prepare contract documents, proposals, and reports
- Provide clients with advice on appropriate regulations and guidelines
- Meet with clients to determine project requirements
- Excellent leadership and business development skills
- University degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering or related degree and experience
- 5+ years' experience in a geotechnical engineering role
- A Professional Engineering Designation in the Province of Ontario or be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario
